Cultural Funds of the Saami Council
The Saami Council has published a new grant form called Dalán-doarjja (Immediate grant). The new grant has been created to support the Sámi arts and culture sector in unexpected, urgent, and time-bound events. A surprising opportunity can be, for example, participation in a festival, concert, exhibition, course, or other significant art and culture event for which it may not have been possible to apply for funding elsewhere. The maximum amount of a Dalán grant is 20,000 NOK. The application periods for the Dalán grant are three times a year; in 2025, they are in March, May, and September. The first Dalán grant application period of the year ends on March 15, 2025, at 11:59 pm (CEST).

Application period for Saami Council Cultural Grants
The application period for the Saami Council's cultural grants for 2026 opens in late spring. The Saami Council's Cultural Committee decides the distribution of the Saami Council's cultural grants.
